Traditional Ritual Diyo

Brass diyo are often used temporarily as lighting for special occasions, while diyas made of brass are permanent fixtures in homes and temples. Especially in Diwali, diyas or candles are representing of enlightenment, knowledge, or wisdom. Diyo are a part of Indian culture, as a representative or sakshi for auspicious reasons, as well as an indicator of light that destroys darkness. They are also used as decoration during the festival of lights – Diwali. Traditionally, Indians light a diyo every morning and evening.

Care Instructions 

• Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after use to prevent residue buildup.

• Clean gently with mild soap and water when necessary, then dry thoroughly

• Polish occasionally using natural solutions like lemon‑salt paste or baking soda and vinegar for enhanced shine

Lighting a diy­­­­a during festivals like Diwali, Tihar, or daily puja ceremonies is considered auspicious, believed to purify the environment and invite positive energy and wisdom.
