Buddha is sitting in a double lotus position  with right hand facing downward with fingers extending towards the ground and palm facing outward.  The design also shows Chepu  who is said to protect the bearer or owner of this art piece.This product is made from  Chaap Tree (scientific name: Hopea ferrea).  It is light in weight and strong to break. Due to its intricate design and process,  artisans took a lot of time in making  this item.  It measures 23 x 16 centimeters and weighs 1 kilogram.
