This is a traditional festival mask in black and is carved from a log of wood. It is approximately 12 inches long and weighs 500 grams. It features elaborate carvings that cover most of the mask’s surface. The eyes are given special emphasis with the ornamentation that surrounds it. The same goes with the nose, the nostrils of which are noticeably enlarged to indicate that it is flared. The mouth is wide open, revealing a set of teeth that is book ended with a pair of prominent incisors. The tongue can be seen under the row of teeth, stretched beyond the chin.
